USB WEBCAMS
LOGITECH C-920
The least expensive webcam option, but still great quality! It’s HD video at 1080p and has dual built-in mics (though we recommend using a separate microphone!)
LOGITECH C-922
This is about the same as the C-920, only giving you the ability to stream at 60fps. If you’re not sure what that is, get the C-920.
LOGITECH BRIO 4K
This is the most expensive of the Logitech Webcams. It is also 4K. Has much better dynamic range than the other two, but at a higher cost.
HIGHER QUALITY CAMERAS
SONY A6100
Prior to the release of the ZV-E10, this was our favorite DSLR (ahem… Mirrorless camera)!
Sigma Lens 16mm f1.4 (for sony)
This is the lens Luria uses on her set. Be aware that lenses are a personal choice based on the look you’re going for!!!
CAPTURE CARD (FOR HIGHER QUALITY CAMERAS)
ELGATO CAMLINK
In order to bring in a camera that is NOT USB (like a DSLR), you’ll need a Capture Card. You can get an Elgato Cam Link that allows your Level 2, 3 or 4 setup to bring in an HDMI camera for your LIVE Videos.

Elgato HD60 S+
The Elgato HD60 S+ is our favorite capture card. While it’s plain, it’s a solid piece of gear and works very consistently! It’s what we put in our client’s Studios that we build.
blackmagic internal capture card
If you have a PC with an open PCIe slot, you can use this Capture Card internally instead of the others which are external cards.

SAMSON METEOR MIC
Great SMALL, portable microphone! The legs fold up for travel. If you’re not moving the mic from location to location, get one of the other microphones. You’ll need a stand or to prop this one up to get closer to your mouth (it sits low).
BLUE YETI NANO
This is one of our favorites if you’re an iPhone user. They do have a model that works on Android, but it does not work with all of them, so you need to go to their site and see if they have one for your device.
AUDIO-TECHNICA ATR2100
This has USB and XLR connections for flexibility depending on your setup. You’ll need a boom holder or stand to hold this.
goxlr usb mixer
The GoXLR isn’t just any ol’ mixer. It’s the most FUN mixer you’ll ever own! Bleep out words. Add sound effects. Give yourself some reverb. Control volume. And LOTS more!
MEE AUDIO M6 HEADPHONES
These are low profile headphones (meaning the viewer can barely tell that you’re wearing them) that don’t cost much at all!
LIGHTING
Elgato Key Light Air
Professional LED Panel With 1400 Lumens, Multi-Layer Diffusion Technology, App-Enabled, Color Temperature Adjustable.
prismatic colored ring lights
These ring lights give you a ton of flexibility since you can control the color and temperature through an iPhone app!
Neewer Ring light
A less expensive ring light but still a great option! White light only (no changing colors like the Prismatic above)
neewer box light kit
This Box Light kit gives you two lights for each side of your face. Bigger footprint but casts a wider light surface.
neewer LED Light
This is a very small footprint, and is LED. It’s dimmable and you can control the temperature. GREAT option for a hair light!
background / accent light
A great way to add some accent lighting to your background. Multiple colors and lots of adjustments available!
COMPUTERS
M1 MACBOOK PRO 13"
If you HAVE to go with a portable option, then the 13″ M1 MacBook Pro is our recommendation for Mac users.
Alienware aurora r11
This PC will handle almost anything you throw its way and future proof you and your production. If you are looking for a cheaper option, this configuration is the minimum spec we recommend.
