The importance of explanation in your live stream

Last week, David was back east, on-site at Orange County Choppers, talking to them about their live streaming – things that are going well, and things that might need some work. They worked on getting the Mevo setup and running in the shop – this involved switching to a stronger network to make sure the signal stays clear.

Jim also told us about progress on the bike they’re building for AutoDesk. They did some live streaming while they were setting up to work on the bike, and that gives us an opportunity to talk about an important point!

Always Explain
Always important, but especially when showing people at work, is to explain WHAT is being done on the video. Why should people be hanging around to watch and what will they see? By letting your audience understand what’s going on, you pull them in and give them a reason to stay with your video rather than moving on.
