We talk a lot about the importance of engagement. But can there be too much engagement? Is there such a thing?
People worry about watering down content, and just generally annoying people. It’s a very natural thing to think about.
Our take is that this isn’t something most people will ever hit, in terms of content production and social engagement. Where there is a risk is during a live show. It’s entirely possible to get so involved in engaging your audience in back and forth conversation while you are live that you won’t get to your planned content for the show. But you do need to talk with the people in your audience. That’s the beauty of live. So be aware of balancing your live engagement and your planned content. Do neglect engagement when you’re live, but don’t let it overpower your planned content.
The power of Facebook Live
Remember that Facebook prioritizes live video above everything else. That makes it a very effective way to reach people, with a much better chance for engagement than a static blog post. You can use live videos to grab attention for things you want people to know about. Special announcements, major posts, anything you want to draw extra attention to will benefit by being paired with a live video!
