Having a standing studio ready to go when you are ready to stream LIVE makes it that mach more likely that you actually will. People’s lives are busy even before we introduce streaming, and setup time is one more excuse (that we all understand) not to do it. So having a standing studio, that you can just step into and turn on the lights, is a big advantage.
But that doesn’t mean you have to sink a huge amount of money into a Level 4 studio when you’re just starting out. Almost no one can do that! And thinking that you have to is another thing that will stop you from going LIVE. Instead, plan to build up your studio over time, piece by piece, as you can afford it.
In this video I talk about some of the ways I started my first studio with things I bought at Home Depot. There are a LOT of fairly inexpensive options – figure out what you want to focus on next and aim for that. Whether your next addition is a new camera, a new microphone, lights, or whatever, you can build your whole setup step by step.
What are you doing for a studio setup? Is it up all the time, or do you set up each time? Are you building on as you can afford it over time? What’s your next goal? Let’s talk about it in the comments!
